AVLAMIS GERASIMOS

Gerasimos Avlamis was born in Athens in 1981. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with professor Chronis Botsoglou. In 2005 he attended the Erasmus program in Madrid and received a scholarship in the course of mural painting and anatomy for painters, returned and graduated in 2007 with honors.

In 2010 he founded a space for teaching painting for children and adults [art painting workshop] in New Heraklion, Attica and in 2012 he created the BHIVE art space in the center of Athens in Kypseli. All these years he is active in the field of interior decoration and in artistic applications as well as in the creation of large-scale street art. His works are in museums and personal collections.

In recent years he has participated with performances in various festivals (Labyrinth of Kypseli, Kourdisto Mandarin, 100 years after dada). Beehive with funding from the Niarchos Foundation. In 2015 he organized the festival The Labyrinth of Kypseli with funding from the organization for contemporary art NEON. Municipality of Athens. Since 2017 he is also responsible for the training in the field of graffiti and visual arts of the program “The child, the city and the monuments” of Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens.

In 2019 and 2020 he created murals on the island of Tinos in school complexes after the invitation of the soul food art space based in Tinos.

His work all these years deals with the element of the social side in art.
