THE VISION

Sissi’s Art Room was created by art lover Sissi through her love, respect and emotion for art. It opened its doors to visitors in November 2021 to become a meeting point for artists, artworks and the public. Although it began as an extension of her personal space, Sissi’s Art Room was set up with the idea of eliminating space and time and bringing art to life through the warmth of a personal relationship with creators and art lovers.

Through her broader cultural interest, Sissi, with her respect for the culture of the past and her gratitude for the artistic creation of the present, has created a space with a vision to house the concerns of artists who today leave their mark on the culture that future generations will examine, making herself a participant in this process.

THE ART

Sissi’s Art Room focuses on contemporary art and bypassing its commercial side, it proudly stands by the artists with whom it collaborates, whether they are at the beginning of their careers, showing significant potential through their work so far, or have already charted a significant course in the contemporary art they serve.

THE ARTWORK

“The role of the work of art is the breath that starts with the artist and ends in a cry with the presentation of the work itself. It is the reflection on social issues but also the expression of a personal moment or the combination of both. The artwork has the power to speak about what has happened, what is happening today and always leaves an empty space for what will come tomorrow.”

THE SPACE

Sissi’s Art Room is now located at 7 Kolokotroni Street, Kifissia (Finikes Shopping Centre) and continues to “embrace” art in its own special way. It showcases the work of contemporary artists, without bypassing the long history of art. “History is not to be forgotten” as Sissy says.

In the space one can come in contact with temporary exhibitions, works from Sissi’s private collection and multiple art objects.
